Job Title: STEM Curriculum Content Writer

Location: London, N1C 4DN

Job Type: Contract, 6 months

Pay rate: £32.49 per hour @ 40 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced STEM Curriculum Content Specialist with a background in teaching or academia to help us build and refine high-quality educational content for students studying under the UK curriculum (e.g., GCSE, A-Level).

You’ll play a key role in updating and developing engaging, curriculum-aligned learning material — ensuring students have access to clear, accurate, and useful resources for revision and concept mastery. This is a flexible, independent role, ideal for a retired teacher, professor, or experienced educator looking to make a lasting impact in digital education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and update STEM educational content (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths) aligned to UK curriculum standards.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and accessibility of content for online student use (e.g., revision guides, concept explanations, problem-solving walkthroughs).
  • Adapt complex STEM concepts into concise, student-friendly material suitable for various learning levels.
  • Work independently to research, plan, and optimize content with minimal supervision.
  • Stay current with curriculum changes and educational best practices in STEM teaching.
  • Optionally collaborate with our team to implement content strategy and explore innovative uses of AI and educational technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field, Education (with a STEM focus), or related discipline.
  • Experience teaching STEM subjects in K-12 or higher education (GCSE, A-Level, IGCSE, IB, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of UK-specific curricula and educational standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to break down complex scientific or mathematical ideas into easy-to-digest content.
  • Self-motivated and organized with great attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing digital learning materials or working with online education platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, large language models (LLMs), or data annotation.
  • Experience across multiple international curricula (e.g., CBSE, ICSE, IB, Cambridge) is a bonus.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
