This role will ensure that the maintenance and the operations of the plant, machinery and service operate at the highest standards expected. The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for coordinating and managing the maintenance activities to ensure the optimum performance of engineering assets and its engineers.

Key responsibilities:

  • To improve performance of the engineering team to ensure consistency in communication and standards.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance plan for engineering assets.
  • Schedule regular maintenance activities and manage associated resources, including personnel and materials.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to assess maintenance needs and prioritise tasks.
  • Manage work orders / PPMs and ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor maintenance performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, cost, and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting of maintenance costs.
  • Provide training and support to maintenance staff or new recruits as needed.
