BW Workplace Experts is looking for Senior / Project Managers to join both the Traditional and Design & Build parts of the business as we go through an exciting period of growth and take on new projects. These roles report directly into the Contracts Managers (Traditional side) or the Head of Pre-Construction (Design & Build Side).
Job Scope Overview:
- Sub-contractor & Site Management: The candidate will maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, addressing any performance issues promptly and ensuring that work areas are clear and tidy. They will hold regular coordination meetings to review progress, monitor subcontractor compliance with project standards, and participate in daily snagging inspections.
- Tender & Documentation Support: The candidate will assist with preparing technical tender submissions and participate in interviews when required. They will manage a range of documentation, including progress reports, snagging lists, instructions to subcontractors, and daily reports on labor, plant usage, and costs. Attention to detail in written communication is essential.
- Team & Project Coordination: The candidate will manage site setup, ensuring adherence to BW standards and the Defect Free approach. They will oversee both strategic and detailed construction programming, ensuring timelines and targets are met. Coordination will also include aligning design programs and information releases with the construction schedule, as well as leading design workshops with consultants and subcontractors.
- Risk & Commercial Management: The role involves assisting in the creation of risk registers and controlling commercial risks in collaboration with the Senior/Commercial Manager. They will review the project’s financials and ensure corrective actions or contra-charges are handled efficiently.
- Health, Safety, & Environmental Management: The candidate will ensure that health, safety, and environmental processes are adhered to on-site, maintaining excellent standards and compliance with quality and safety procedures according to ISO standards. This includes ensuring that all H&S plans and documentation are in place, attending project meetings, and issuing reports and documentation promptly.
- Client & Team Relationship Building: They will build long-term relationships with clients and the professional team, ensuring successful project delivery. Regular meetings with the client’s representative will be held to ensure satisfaction, and the candidate will manage all aspects of the project to ensure it is delivered on time and defect-free.
