The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.

The purpose of the role will be to provide accurate and timely financial information to key stakeholders. These will include the Senior Manager RTR and the Group Financial Controller RTR. Operating within the RTR stream, the GL accountant will work closely with site accountants to deliver on the financial performance of the business unit and subsequent reporting.

The GL accountant will have excellent ERP & IT skills and be able to leverage these to deliver solutions to issues arising. This role is interesting and diverse and will suit someone who is flexible and adept at problem solving. The role will ensure that all relevant Sox controls are completed in the area.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Manager RTR, this role will be working as part of a team producing financial reporting for all business units. Reporting outputs will include monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information and associated reporting to Pilgrims US. Input into relevant areas of monthly and quarterly disclosures. Complete all reporting in line with established group timetables.

The GL accountant will develop deep knowledge across a range of areas including revenue, cost of sales, overheads, inventory, and fixed assets and deliver on these to the business. The GL accountant will deliver key balance sheet account reconciliations which will feed into the overall entity reconciliations. The GL accountant will complete relevant areas in relation to annual and statutory accounting.

The GL accountant will work with other members of the finance team to ensure consistency of working across the business units and to ensure best practice is implemented and followed. The GL accountant will work on cross-functional projects where required, providing expert guidance from a financial viewpoint. Operate with the highest standards of financial integrity and demonstrate each of the company values to a high level. Work as part of a highly motivated team, coaching and supporting other more junior members of the team. Carry out other duties that may reasonably be requested to ensure the efficient running of the Pilgrims Shared Services Centre.
