Position: Junior Art Director for men’s/womenswear
Location: London (Full-time, office-based)
Reports to: Art Director
Lead Creatives: Creative Director, Art Director, Illustrators, Print team, and other departments.
This role supports the direction of the seasonal collections by researching references, themes, and products in line with the brief and inspiration from the Creative Director. It involves collecting visual ideas, sketching, and presenting back an actionable plan to formalise a direction for the wider Creative team while seeing through the end-to-end process of artwork needed for the business.
- Visual Research: Conduct in-depth research based on cultural themes, references, or specific design concepts producing a pack used throughout the business which presents the creative concepts for the season.
- Physical and digital mood boards: Keeping these relevant throughout the creative development showing progress to Design, Merchandising, and Product Development to serve as an active point of reference.
- Collaboration: Building a collaborative relationship with the Illustrators, giving them concept sketches and guiding their work to fit the Creative Director’s vision. Foster creative ideas while maintaining a clear understanding of timelines and priorities. Plan ahead to anticipate the needs of creative leaders, ensuring productive and effective creative sessions. Keep Project Management reporting programs updated with progress.
Qualifications: Degree in Arts, Fashion or related discipline.
Experience: 5+ years in a luxury brand or agency with an international outlook. Capable of using design software to communicate and develop visual ideas, with the foundational knowledge to translate concepts into visual presentations.
