OLG Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an Electrically Biased Contracts Engineer to join a client based in Grimsby. This is a permanent role, with the possibility of hybrid working.

Ideally, you will have experience working with Hazardous Areas, and industrial E&I construction project/maintenance experience. They need to have been hands on within an industrial setting as part of the job role would include cost estimating electrically biased industrial projects.

We are looking for a positive, motivated, and self-driven individual. This role requires managing multiple projects simultaneously, so prioritising tasks and effective communication skills are essential. Hazardous area experience is highly desirable, as most of the projects are within hazardous environments.

Job role:
  • Managing multiple industrial projects ensuring delivery on time and in budget
  • Develop and execute project plans and schedules
  • Cost estimating electrically biased projects
  • Overseeing project delivery including cost control, procurement, delays/variations and risks
  • Attending site visits for cost estimating, project management and client relationship
  • Organise and manage the field team to achieve project scopes effectively and to a high standard
  • Promoting and ensuring H&S standards are followed
  • Establishing and managing client and supplier relationships
Essential Skills:
  • HND/HNC or fully qualified electrician with appropriate level of experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Contract / Project Management role
  • Competent Engineer with hands on Industrial Electrical experience
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft systems and IT literate
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team ethos
  • Full clean driving licence and ability to travel around the UK and overseas if required

Package:
  • 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
  • PAYE Salary of £50,000 to £55,000 p/a based on experience/qualifications
  • Car allowance of £6,000 per year paid monthly
  • Bonus scheme based on company/individual performance (large bonus pot available)
  • 34 days holiday (including bank holidays on passing probationary period)
