Geotechnical Engineer\\n\\nEdinburgh\\n\\nFirst People Solutions is recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to join one of the largest and most experienced multi-disciplinary consulting engineer in the UK, offering civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering, transport planning, development and water/environmental services. \\n\\nWith a long history and strong network, they provide innovative and sustainable solutions for a range of complex projects for a range of private and public sector projects. \\n\\nThis role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a range of geotechnical projects, contributing to a dynamic and forward-thinking team, and playing a key role in their continued success.\\n\\nJob:\\n\\nPrepare and check design calculations and specifications for geotechnical works such as bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, and earthworks\\nConduct feasibility studies, ground investigations and design\\nAssist in the delivery of the design of geotechnical elements of existing and future projects \\n\\nWhat we need from you:\\n\\nDegree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Earth Science or equivalent\\n3-5 years of experience working within a design engineering consultancy in the UK\\nWorking towards chartered status\\nKnowledge of geotechnical principles and standards\\nExperience of modelling software such as Holebase, Slide, Settle 3D, and Wallap\\nFull UK driving licence \\n\\nWhat's in it for you?\\n\\nWork on a range of interesting and impactful projects\\nCompetitive salary and excellent flexible benefits\\nTraining and development opportunities\\nPension, healthcare plan and life insurance \\n\\nWe are also keen to hear from Senior and Principal Engineers with a geotechnical background who are seeking a new challenge.
