We're currently recruiting on behalf of a housing association in the East Midlands for a Housing Support Officer to provide vital support to vulnerable tenants. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact within a supportive team.

Location: Blaby

Hours: 35 hours a week

Hourly rate: £18- £19hr via umbrella

The Housing Support Officer will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out pre-tenancy interviews
  • Promoting independence with all customers
  • Be first point of contact for tenants
  • Arrange any repairs and monitor quality in all schemes
  • Complete health and safety, fire safety assessments
  • Advise tenants with money management/benefit issues

The ideal Housing Support Officer will have to be:

  • From a supported housing background or previous experience
  • Good communication and leadership skills. Be able to show compassion and support to the vulnerable
  • Experience in helping people apply for benefits to maximise their income
  • This role requires a basic DBS clearance
