Position: Qualified Domestic Gas Engineer
Example Recruitment Group are proud to be working with a well-established national heating contractor specialising in the local authority sector. We are currently seeking a qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to cover the Southend on Sea area. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance within domestic social housing properties on a Housing Association contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR)
- Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems
- Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring tenants receive excellent care
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience with gas qualifications
- Extensive experience in servicing boilers and gas appliances, as well as strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair skills
- In-date ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1
- Full UK driving licence
- No unspent criminal convictions (DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment)
Salary & Benefits:
- 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
- Overtime paid at time-and-a-half, door-to-door
- Additional overtime and weekend work available at enhanced rates
- Van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA provided
- Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum
- Monthly performance-related bonus up to £200
- Out-of-hours call-out rota (1 week in 4) paid £400 in summer and £600 in winter guaranteeing an additional £7,000 per year on top of salary
- OTE £45,000+ per annum
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Pension scheme
