Join BAE Systems, a world-leading defense and aerospace company, as a Project Manager or Project Engineer overseeing key infrastructure and security upgrade projects across our estate. You will be part of a high-performing team delivering critical construction, plant & equipment, and security-focused initiatives that support the long-term transformation of our facilities.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Managing construction and plant/equipment projects, ensuring full compliance with CDM 2015 Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
- Leading design and delivery phases of construction projects in accordance with RIBA stages, including office-based planning and onsite execution.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, engineering professionals, SMEs, and external consultants to interpret customer requirements and deliver project outcomes.
- Overseeing infrastructure development including lighting systems, HVAC, security fencing, and facilities rationalisation.
- Working across multiple project phases: Design, Delivery, Handover - including documentation, budget planning, financial justification, and quality assurance.
- Managing suppliers and consultants to ensure value for money, quality results, and customer satisfaction.
What You Will Need:
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction or plant/equipment installations.
- Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations, Building Control, and statutory legislation.
- Effective supplier management and communication skills.
- Project Management qualifications and a track record of successful delivery.
- Ability to operate independently with a flexible, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
- Excellent coordination, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Desirable Skills:
- Design Management experience in construction projects.
- Previous experience managing security infrastructure upgrades.
- Background in mechanical, electrical, or security-focused projects.
- Familiarity with Net Zero Carbon initiatives is a plus.
