Technical Coordinator (12-Month Fixed Term, Maternity Cover) What Youll Do: As our Technical Coordinator, youll support the Technical Manager in ensuring our business complies with all current legislation and customer requirements. Your role will be vital in maintaining and improving our quality systems, supporting factory trials, and preparing for audits, all while working closely with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Audit Preparation and Compliance Prepare for and participate in audits, ensuring smooth site visits. Conduct GMP, hygiene, and internal audits, closing out any actions promptly. New Product Development (NPD) Support Attend factory trials and capture NPD documentation. Manage trial samples for microbiological and shelf-life testing. Ensure all documentation, such as specifications and labels, is ready for product launches. Quality and Process Improvement Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Conduct daily checks across production areas to ensure compliance with standards. Data Management and Reporting Log and investigate customer complaints, resolving internal and external issues. Complete environmental and listeria swabs, water samples, and shelf-life verifications, taking corrective action as needed. Calibration and Equipment Management Ensure timely calibration of all equipment, maintaining the site calibration matrix. General Support Provide ad hoc support to the Technical team, including holiday and absence cover. What Were Looking For: Were seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional with experience in a chilled Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food manufacturing environment. Key Skills & Attributes: Previous technical experience in food production, with knowledge of HACCP and the BRC standard. Customer-focused and solutions-driven. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Self-motivated, with a flexible and proactive approach.
