Principal Product Manager – Performance Expedia Group’s Traveler team is looking for a product leader to drive faster and more responsive experiences across our Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo apps and websites, creating traveler delight and elevating the quality of our products. Working with a variety of teams across the traveler funnel and platform, this role will set the standards, measurement and global backlog for performance, being the go-to individual for leadership on all things performance. They will work with experience leaders to ensure that as our apps and websites leverage AI more and more, our traveler interfaces are always fast loading, visually stable and interactive. This leadership role requires strategic acumen, deep technical expertise in performance, and a collaborative spirit to support teams in elevating travel experiences globally. What you will do: Leverages deep knowledge to shape and align a long-term product vision for performance in EG’s traveller-facing experiences Drives the creation of a global roadmap for performance across teams, devices and brands, ensuring cross-functional buy-in Works with engineering leaders to drive latency improvements across the EG landscape, including platform and domains services Advocates for improving technical gaps and the architecture in support of performance Coach product managers across teams on best practices, measurement and the value of performance Monitors research and industry trends to spark innovative product ideas for EG to pursue Combines technical best practices with an intuitive user experience, taking a traveller-centric approach to performance Drives the maturity of performance data, metric definition and value articulation, in partnership with Product Analytics Resolves escalations across workstreams to ensure performance initiatives remain prioritised and teams are clear of the business value of performance Who you are: 10+ years of product management experience working on a consumer facing product Proven experience influencing a variety of teams on a complex subject area Proven experience communicating product vision and strategy to wide audiences Proven experience working on performance-based initiatives Preferred: Proven experience working on a consumer app We are proud to be named as a Best Place to Work on Glassdoor in 2024 and be recognized for award-winning culture by organizations like Forbes, TIME, Disability:IN, and others.
