We are seeking an experienced DV Cleared Network Engineer to join a critical defence/secure project. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, support, and maintenance of secure network infrastructure within high-assurance environments.

Key Details:

  • Location: Bristol (4 days per week on-site)
  • Rate: Competitive on application
  • IR35 Status: Inside IR35
  • Contract Length: 6 months
  • Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco network infrastructure (Routers, Switches, Firewalls).
  • Implement and optimize Cisco-based LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN solutions.
  • Design secure network architectures in line with MOD/Defence standards.
  • Conduct network upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and resilience.

Operational Duties:

  • Active DV Clearance (mandatory).
  • Hands on experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus Switches.
  • In-depth knowledge of core protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, VRRP.
  • Experience with Cisco VPNs.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, etc.).
