Designer Recruitment are seeking a Design Co-Ordinator to join a well-known luxury kitchen retailer on the Essex/Suffolk border. This is a permanent role offering £26,000 for the right Design Co-ordinator.
The successful candidate will provide the showroom with design and administration support to see any given project from initial enquiry through to final completion, working alongside the Design Consultant, Project Manager and Operational departments.
Design Co-ordinator duties:- Providing design and administration support in all areas.
- Preparing design drawings, layouts, and mood boards.
- Assisting in developing design concepts and space planning.
- Supporting the creation of presentations for client meetings.
- Maintaining project documentation and organising design files.
- Creating and submitting Job packs for each project.
- Prioritising workloads and managing time effectively to help achieve design deadlines, sales targets, and project completion according to the programme.
- Welcoming clients and visitors into the showroom and maintaining showroom standards at all times.
- Carrying out showroom-related administration duties.
- Assisting with the organisation and delivery of showroom events.
- Communicating verbally and in writing with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with your work colleagues and clients.
- Maintaining and updating the company’s in-house database and systems.
- Providing the client with information and updates at key stages of the procurement process.
- Ensuring client payments are received and logged correctly at the deposit stage of the project.
- Processing remedial orders and client variations.
- Qualifying, planning and executing any client aftersale requirements.
- Attending product training and any other training arranged by the company.
- Undertaking any reasonable requests from the Management/Directors.
- Computer literate.
- Communication with all other departments.
- Practical ability for problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally & electronically.
- Competent M & E knowledge of kitchen requirements will be advantageous but not essential - Ongoing training will be provided.
- Highly efficient time management.
- Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Articad or similar.
- Familiar with graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop, Powerpoint.
- Experience with CRM Systems.
- Basic understanding of design principles, materials and finishes.
