Are you an English Teacher looking for long term work within schools? Do you have experience working with 11-18 year olds with additional learning requirements and Challenging Behaviour? Look no further - we have the ideal role for you!
GSL Education are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to work within a SEN school in Nottinghamshire, where providing 1:1 and group support if required. The role includes working with children who have complex behavioural needs and using sports as a therapeutic method to manage challenging behaviours and to support the child's learning away from the classroom.
The role includes:
- Planning lessons against the National Curriculum and differentiating the work to children.
- General group support.
- Supporting the Class Teacher with daily tasks and planning.
- Encouraging learning and concentration in lessons.
- Acting as a positive role model, energetic and always willing to support.
- Teaching GCSE standard English.
The ideal candidates will have:
- Experience in working with young children in a mainstream school.
- Experience working with Challenging Behaviour, Autism, ADHD and Social and Emotional Mental Health.
- Relevant qualifications will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of the curriculum.
- Ability to work full time – 5 days a week.
- Access to own car and valid driver's license (Essential).
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check – Must be on the update service. (We can assist you with a DBS if you do not have one).
- 2x References are a must in order to clear your file with GSL.
