Ryder Reid Legal is seeking a Senior Conflicts Analyst to join one of our leading global law firm clients on a permanent basis at their London office. As a Senior Conflicts Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Conflicts Department with conflicts searching, analysis, clearance, and new business intake. You will also assist with special projects related to the firm's professional responsibility, compliance, and conflicts initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on new clients and involved parties.
- Utilise corporate databases to investigate corporate ownership structures.
- Perform conflicts searches and process requests within the firm's conflicts platform.
- Analyse and refine conflicts search results for delivery to partners.
- Assist partners with the analysis of potential conflicts issues.
- Draft engagement and waiver letters as needed.
- Review and analyse conflicts for incoming lateral candidates.
- Coordinate with solicitors across the firm regarding conflicts search requests.
- Maintain conflicts-related databases and assist with opening, updating, and closing matters.
- Generate reports and perform other administrative functions as necessary.
- Develop and maintain expertise on conflicts rules in both US and UK.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a conflicts department of a law firm.
- Experience with UK and US conflicts rules in a multi-jurisdictional context.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate legal relationships clearly.
- Strong research skills and ability to understand complex corporate relationships.
- Ability to manage workload and handle multiple complex situations in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
- Proficiency in internet research and various corporate databases.
