We are currently looking for a “Head of Informatics” to join a leading biotechnology company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Head of Informatics, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership across the company, maintaining its competitive position in microbiome bioinformatics, and developing the informatics infrastructure. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties as the Head of Informatics will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. Lead the Informatics team and provide strategic direction from a scientific stand point 2. Lead the development of development and implementation of bioinformatic capabilities 3. Develop and manage the informatics infrastructure and ensure GDPR and GLCP compliance 4. Represent the company externally and lead the analysis of key omic datasets, including clinical trials. ROLE REQUIREMENTS: To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Head of Informatics, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: Must have experience with microbiology with strong expertise in microbiome analysis Relevant degree in bioinformatics, genomics, microbiology, or a related field.
