The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
Due to retirement, we are recruiting a Technical Sales Person to join a long-established Engineering manufacturer based in the West Midlands. The role will be mainly office based, with some UK visits.
The main duties will be:
- Understanding customer needs, specifying suitable, often bespoke products.
- Estimating the cost by sourcing outside costs, such as material & services, and internal operation times.
- Developing the total cost price per piece on our computer system, and researching the delivery time and sell price.
- Proactively selling to existing and new clients, to obtain the best price that will win the order.
- Helping and assisting existing staff with enquiries, technical aspects, quotations, orders, processing, reporting, dealing with queries & other such issues.
The ideal applicant will be:
- Conscientious, and able to work within our existing team, whilst having the ability to manage your own workload.
- Product knowledge is not essential, providing you are very keen, capable of reading drawings and specifications, and learning all the technical aspects of our products.
- Applicants should have experience of working in a similar engineering role and have a proven sales track record.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your workload independently, while working collaboratively with the wider team.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
In return we will provide a competitive remuneration package, 36 days holiday including bank holidays, pension scheme, a discretionary bonus, and a friendly and supportive environment to work in. The working hours will be 09:00 and 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 09:00 and 14:00 on Friday.
