Are you an experienced forestry professional looking for an exciting new challenge? We are seeking a Senior Forest Manager to join a dynamic forestry team in the South East, working from a Hampshire office. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the management of diverse forestry properties, with responsibilities spanning planning, operations, client relations and business development.

A leading provider of timber harvesting and marketing services across the UK, working with a diverse range of clients who harvest over 2.1 million cubic metres of timber annually. Their services cover everything from first thinning to clear felling, marketing standing trees and roadside purchases, using various transport systems to supply customers from small mills to major processors in the UK and Europe. With an independent and innovative approach, they ensure a seamless process from harvesting to haulage, maximizing returns for woodland owners.

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience in forest management, particularly in a lowland context
  • A relevant academic qualification (Forestry, Land Management, or related discipline)
  • Experience in client and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of UK forestry regulations
  • Knowledge of UKFS, UKWAS, and silvicultural practices
  • IT proficiency, including Office 365 and GIS mapping
  • A full UK driving licence. Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters (or similar) is desirable.
