Our client is a niche practice based in Brighton/Hove operating since 1997 providing advice and legal services to clients within the recruitment and services industry. This encompasses a mix of Employment law, Business to Business Contracts and Compliance (you do not need experience in all these areas as training can be provided - understanding of contracts is required).

Joining an experienced team of 4 (a mix of ex lawyers and HR professionals), you will be working in open plan offices holding the title of “Legal Consultant” speaking to and advising the firm's clients (by phone and face to face) on a range of legal business related matters. This can include producing business terms, handling/drafting employment contracts and dealing with/advising on compliance issues including Data Protection and GDPR - using the firm's in-house templates.

You will also be expected to attend networking events and seminars when required. This is a specialist and niche area of expertise known as “Recruitment Law” so a background in commercial contracts is preferred although previous experience with employment law, regulatory or compliance would also be considered.

You will not be able to hold the title of “Solicitor” and there is no option for the firm to offer “Training Contracts”. This is a great opportunity to develop your expertise in a different arena to private practice or in-house.

Candidates must be IT literate and have a drive to succeed and develop their career. Generous salary on offer with bonus scheme. Part-time also considered.
