Salary: Up to £35,000

Our Client: We are delighted to be partnered with this well-established food manufacturing business, operating throughout the UK. They supply products to most major supermarkets, taking pride in ensuring their products exceed industry standards, time after time. Our client is now recruiting for a H&S Advisor to join their journey in achieving sustainable growth through product innovation. This would offer an amazing opportunity for an individual with an interest or some knowledge into Health and Safety to progress and learn within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities of H&S Officer:

  • Assist in leading risk assessments
  • Conduct H&S audits
  • Deliver and record training to colleagues
  • Maintain a database of essential H&S KPI’s
  • Carry out weekly testing of site emergency systems
  • Working with the team to solve any issues
  • Ensure site complies with all H&S regulations
  • Investigating and escalating any concerns in relation to H&S
  • Presenting information and data to the team
  • Support the H&S Manager with general administrative duties

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Desirable but not essential to have a H&S qualification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment
  • Previous experience or knowledge of H&S processes within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Excel skills, ability to analyse and present data accurately
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, numerically and written
  • Confident and hard working
