Join Our Team as a Waking Night Support Worker! Are you dedicated to making a difference through meaningful, overnight support? We’re looking for a Waking Night Support Worker to provide essential care to a young man in his twenties, living independently in his own home in Kinson. This rewarding role is open to male applicants only, in line with the personal care needs of the individual we support. We’re seeking someone with a strong background in health and social care, along with hands-on experience supporting individuals with autism or complex needs. If you’re calm, compassionate, and ready to bring your expertise to a role where every night counts – we’d love to hear from you.

The role: You would be working with Daniel supporting him as part of 2:1 support. You will be on hand if Daniel wakes during the night, to help reassure him and get him back to bed so he can have a peaceful sleep.

A waking night support worker's job would include:

  • Staying alert throughout the shift
  • Administering any necessary medication
  • Completing documentation at regular periods throughout the shift
  • Following the support plan in place for each person we support, to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour
  • Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication
  • Ensure the safety and security of the person we support at all times

Hours of work: 20 hours per week

Week 1: Tuesday 10pm – 8am, Saturday 10pm – 8am

Week 2: Tuesday 10pm – 8am, Wednesday 10pm – 8am
