Our client, a well-established name in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and versatile engineer looking to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions
- Ensure minimal downtime by responding quickly and efficiently to breakdowns
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the site
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Maintain clear and accurate maintenance records
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
Key Skills & Experience:
- Recognised qualification in engineering – NVQ Level 3 / HNC / City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills (mechanical and electrical)
- Good understanding of PLCs (basic fault-finding is a bonus)
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and automated machinery
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
