We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Children’s Community Nurse to join our team, providing high-quality nursing care to children and young people with acute, complex, or long-term conditions in their homes and community settings. This is a rewarding role where you’ll support families and promote holistic care outside of the hospital environment—helping children thrive in familiar surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care to children with a range of needs including enteral feeding, tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, palliative care, and complex medication regimes
  • Work in partnership with families, empowering them to care for their child safely and confidently
  • Coordinate care and communicate with GPs, hospital teams, schools, and social care services
  • Monitor clinical signs and respond to changes in condition
  • Support with hospital discharges and care transitions to the community
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements:

  • NMC-registered Children’s Nurse (RNC)
  • Experience in pediatric nursing, ideally in a community or acute setting
  • Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and family-centered care
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
  • Confidence working autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
