Salary: £30,651.59 - £33,317.19 (pro-rata - part-time 21 hours per week, office based but could lead to some hybrid)
Our client is an impressive Housing Charity that is changing and growing, they have a number of locations in and around London and have been operating for over 100 years!
Role purpose:
Responsible for the accounting duties related to income received in the Charity, with a particular focus on rent and service charges, plus fundraised income, namely trusts, grants and individual donations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure, with a high level of accuracy, accounting tasks such as rent journals and inputting tenants rent data into the rent accounting system, are actioned timely.
- Demonstrable knowledge of best practices in income management and debt collection, with a good understanding of Housing and Welfare Benefits.
- Work with Housing to assist vulnerable tenants through referring to internal and external support agencies, where appropriate, to ensure that tenancies can be sustained and tenant’s needs met.
- Produce regular Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, to alert Housing to any tenancy-related debt and other types of debt across the Foundation.
- Lead on the production and distribution of regular rent statements.
- Work with Housing in setting up new residents’ rent accounts within the housing software, and maintaining these accounts throughout the tenancy.
- Reconcile data that confirms all annual rent and service charges increases are in Pyramid.
- Assist your line manager with the calculation of Service Charges and review on an annual basis.
- Being responsible for the processing of all direct debits, standing orders, bank transfers and card payments, ensuring the corresponding entries are accurately input to the Housing database to tenant accounts.

Person Specification:
- Previous experience of finance administration and a keen eye for detail with numbers is essential.

- Experience of analysing management information and making recommendations to inform decision-making.
- Experience of having worked in a charity or social housing is desirable.
