Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Durability & Robustness Programme Leader to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.
This role is within the Durability & Robustness attribute which is part of the wider driven attribute integration organisation of our client. The Programme Leader role is to ensure all customer expectations for Durability & Robustness are met with appropriate target setting, design development and completion of whole vehicle verification activities using both virtual and physical test methods.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:- Support delivery of all Attribute Requirement targets by Gateway.
- Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved.
- Detailed strategy and delivery planning for the attribute covering CAE, Road Load Data, Vehicle and System rig tests & driven vehicle DV activities.
- Working with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level targets.
- Work with Component Engineers and Suppliers as required to drive resolution of engineering issues.
- Deliver technical recommendations and test and issue status reports.
- Work on tasks to ensure all lessons learnt from the current vehicle are captured and fed back to the Programme Attribute Team and progressed as necessary.
- Knowledge/experience of engineering test activities.
- Knowledge/experience of automotive technologies or systems.
- Project Management experience.
- Broad knowledge of vehicle technologies.
- Understanding of Durability & Strength principles.
- Project management of complex engineering test activities.
- Experience of problem solving including application of Root Cause Analysis, 8D, DoE etc.
- Understanding of systems engineering principles and delivery.
- Microsoft package elements Power Point and Excel.
- Knowledge/Experience of AGILE working principles.
- Working knowledge CAD visualisation systems (e.g. 3Dx, TeamCentre etc.)
- Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross functional experience.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
