We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to individuals in need, particularly those requiring additional support. This position involves working closely with residents to ensure their well-being, promote independence, and assist with daily living activities.
Duties
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support serving the residents nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences prepared by our Kitchen team on site.
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans that meet the specific needs of each resident.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration (Training provided).
- Conduct regular assessments of residents' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to management.
- Engage with residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide first aid when necessary and respond effectively to emergencies (training provided).
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of dementia, mental health, substance care practices is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families or support workers.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Basic understanding of case management principles is beneficial.
- Certification in first aid is desirable but can be obtained post-employment.
