Opportunity is around the corner as Pertemps are currently seeking Production & Packing Operatives on behalf of an Animal Feed Factory located near North Scarle. As a Packing Operative, you will be joining a successful warehouse and production team and helping in the daily running of the factory. This is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious company who are wanting to invest in staff members, offering training and development opportunities. There will be permanent contracts offered to staff after 12 weeks worked through Pertemps.
What will I be paid? £12.64 per hour.
What will I be doing as Packing Operative?
- Operate and monitor production machinery to process and package pet food products.
- Pack finished pet food products into bags, or other containers, ensuring accurate weights and labels.
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, following hygiene and safety protocols.
- Sort and stack packaged goods for shipping or storage.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or product defects to supervisors.
What skills and experience do I need?
- Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or production role is preferred but not essential.
- Having experience operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- MUST be able to drive to get to the factory.
The Packing Operative shift pattern is as follows:
- Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts, rotating between days and nights:
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
