Mental Health Support Worker Location - Lincoln Β£12.21 per hour
Role Description β Mental Health Support Worker
Gray Healthcare are recruiting a new team of mental health support workers within the Lincoln area to support a young lady in her 20's who has a diagnosis of EUPD and Sensory Processing Disorder, who will be living independently in her own home receiving 1:1 support 24 hours a day. The lady we will be supporting is looking for individuals with a good sense of humour, someone who isnβt too serious! She has a keen interest in Dancing and has recently taken up swimming lessons as a new hobby. The person we support also has a keen interest in looking into voluntary work as she has recently been volunteering at a cat cafΓ©.
She will be supported by a female team on mixed shifts of days and waking nights.
Mental Health Support Worker Required Skills and Experience
- Social care experience, ideally within mental health and with some experience of supporting individuals with EUPD.
- Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
- Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
- Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
- You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship.
- This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
Hours
24 hour contract, 2 x 12 hour waking nights shifts per week.
Induction and Training
We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training (Company induction, systems, and Medication), followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, this is a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint dominant approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare, and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.
