A leading, fast-growing commercial law firm in Manchester is seeking a Senior Commercial Contracts / Tech / Data / IP Lawyer to join its highly regarded team. The Role:
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements (B2B, supply of goods/services, SaaS, licensing, outsourcing)
- Advising on data protection and privacy compliance (including GDPR impact assessments and risk reviews)
- Handling IP matters such as brand protection, licensing, and exploitation of IP rights
- Supporting corporate transactions from a commercial and tech/IP standpoint
- Advising innovative tech clients, including start-ups, scale-ups, and established digital businesses
This is a client-facing role where your commercial acumen and ability to build long-term relationships will be key. The team is vibrant, ambitious, and close-knit, offering strong peer support as well as autonomy and responsibility from day one.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 6 years' PQE with solid experience in commercial contracts, tech, and/or IP
- Strong understanding of data protection regulations and commercial risk
- Comfortable leading on deals and managing client relationships
- A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Interest in working with high-growth businesses and emerging technologies
- Previous in-house experience or secondments are a plus, but not essential
