Our client is a small manufacturing company, £5m annualised turnover, 35 employees, that has recently been bought out of a larger group by private investors. The company is looking for someone to head up the finance function working in close partnership with its General Manager. The finance function itself is small and while the role will naturally be very hands on, the jobholder's remit across the business will be quite broad.
The opportunity is one that will suit someone working at Senior Finance Manager or Controller level, with considerable experience of working in a manufacturing environment, who is looking to step up to a number one finance role. The role location - coastal East Sussex - is such that the opportunity might also be of interest to a more experienced finance executive looking to step away from a larger business but who nonetheless has the energy, motivation and detail orientation to support an ambitious business on its renewed growth journey.
The role is permanent and full time, and the role holder should expect to be prepared to be in office up to five days a week. The role will pay a base salary of up to £60k plus the usual benefits commensurate with the role's seniority and a bonus structure is to be put in place.
Candidates must have a formal accounting qualification.
