Our client, a main dealer Bodyshop in the Guildford area, is currently looking for an experienced Bodyshop Controller to join their busy and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in the motor industry who’s ready to step up and take on more responsibility. As our Bodyshop Controller, you’ll play a key role in managing resources, supporting the team, and ensuring high-quality repairs and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure smooth operations – Oversee the day-to-day running of the Bodyshop, ensuring repairs are carried out to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Manage resources – Effectively allocate materials, equipment, and labour to maximise productivity and ensure profitability.
- Lead your team – Motivate, guide, and support the Bodyshop team, ensuring they work efficiently and deliver exceptional results.
- Customer interaction – Communicate directly with customers, providing updates on repairs and resolving any concerns promptly.
- Handle administrative tasks – Oversee job cards, invoicing, stock management, and scheduling, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment – Ensure the workshop is well-maintained, compliant with health and safety regulations, and conducive to high-quality work.
- 2+ years of experience in the automotive trade whether that be within a main dealer or within a Bodyshop.
- Excellent communication skills – You can engage with customers and lead your team effectively.
- A collaborative approach to leadership – You know how to motivate your team and encourage high performance.
- Strong organisational skills – You can manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities with ease.
- Full UK driving license – You’re ready to hit the ground running and be hands-on when needed.
- Computer-savvy – Comfortable using management software and basic office tools.
