Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Head of Sales on behalf of a leading manufacturing company. The Head of Sales will have responsibility for managing the sales team across the UK and Ireland, overseeing the implementation of the sales strategy across all product categories and have overall responsibility for developing new business.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the overall sales strategy.
  • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing sales teams and by developing the team's skills base.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, set performance KPIs, and foster a high-performing commercial team.
  • Building positive, long-lasting customer partnerships with key accounts across various markets - Commercial (trade and direct), Local Authorities, Domestic Trade Accounts and direct customers.
  • Identifying and driving the development of new product & market opportunities.
  • Liaison with housing officers, estates officers, architects, builders and occupational therapists in the preparation of plans and adaptation work to the dwelling.
  • Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of products and services.
  • Delivering daily/weekly reports of sales results, customer feedback & market intelligence.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Report activity to Managing Director.
  • Any other duties role may involve.

Person Specification:

  • 5 years' experience in a senior sales, business development, or commercial leadership role.
  • Experience in leading and motivating a team to deliver sales and profit margins to achieve and exceed budget would be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience in disabled access lift industry or dealing with local authorities would be advantageous.
  • Available to work flexibly to respond to business needs including occasional travel across UK and Ireland.
  • Current full driving licence.
