Teacher Training Scholarships – Computing

The BCS Computing teacher training scholarships programme is a government funded financial incentive to train to teach in England. (If living in Wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland at the time of application you must secure a teacher training place at an institution in England. This scholarship is not available to overseas students.)
If you’re a student, recent graduate, or career-changer seeking Initial Teacher Training, you may be eligible for a Scholarship provided by the Department for Education, delivered and supported by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT.
Teaching provides a unique and extraordinary opportunity to change young lives for the better. Gaining access to a BCS Scholarship to support your teacher training entitles you to the following:
– £31,000 tax free funding from the Department for Education to support your studies.
– A year’s pastoral and professional development support from the BCS team, including webinars, CPD resources, access to coaching / mentoring, and access to a supportive network of current / former scholars, teachers, and computing subject matter experts.
– Two years’ professional BCS Membership.
