A Quality Inspector is required for a large steel processing company based in the Dudley area. You will be responsible for using verniers and tape measures for the inspection of large steel components, such as 6m rolled channels and flat plates, used in the construction of turbines, filters and associated equipment for use in nuclear power plants.

You will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting large steel components with tight tolerances
  • Using verniers and tape measure
  • Visually checking measurements and cross-referencing paperwork
  • Operating overhead cranes to manoeuvre the large stock

To be considered you need to have quality inspection experience - fully carrying out measurements and quality inspections, using tape measures and verniers, interpreting engineering drawings and ideally experience operating overhead cranes.

The role is working the following mornings/afternoons rotating shift pattern - 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday, paying £15.00 per hour. This Quality Inspector role is a temp-to-perm position with a probationary period through the agency.
