We are currently seeking a temporary Grounds Maintenance Worker to work for a Local Authority. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in outdoor work and is passionate about keeping public spaces clean, safe, and well-maintained for the community.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out general grounds maintenance in parks, open spaces, and landscaped areas
- Undertake planting, pruning, weeding, and seasonal gardening duties
- Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of sports facilities and children's play areas
- Operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment and tools
- Drive Local Authority vehicles and transport equipment as required
- Report any damage, safety issues, or maintenance needs to supervisors
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture preferred
- Must hold relevant licences (e.g., driving licence, equipment operation certification)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
