Our client is a very successful and well-established printing company. They are looking for an experienced Digital Printer / Print Press Operative to join their friendly and hard-working team.

- You can commit to the rotating shift pattern outlined below.
Salary: Dependent on experience + Overtime
Shift pattern: Weekly rotating shifts, Monday to Thursday, 6.00am - 2.00pm, and Friday 6.00am - 1.00pm / Monday to Thursday, 2.00pm - 10.00pm, and Friday 1.00pm - 8.00pm.
Benefits: 24 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays, plus the ability to buy 5 additional holidays as part of salary sacrifice scheme.
Your job will be to carry out all tasks associated with the operation of press equipment to ensure that production output continually meets the levels required within the agreed timescales and that specified quality and security standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Strive to meet the estimated make-ready and run times for each job.
- Consistent attainment of agreed production targets within given timescales.
- All printed products meet specifications and quality standards.
- Ability to identify operating problems and act quickly so as to minimise down time.
- Demonstrate flexibility by moving between departments.
- Perform housekeeping to agreed standard.
- Ability to operate print presses in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, in order to maximise production output and minimise wastage of materials.
- Ensure all maintenance is carried out to standard and on schedule for your allocated machine.
- Ensure the print room and your allocated machine are kept clean and tidy by carrying out daily inspections at the start and end of every shift.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately so that a true record of work produced is available at all times.
Applicant Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of the Print production process and press operation.
- Computer skills to enable accurate operation of computerised programs.
- Ability to understand written works instructions and translate into correct machine settings.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to rapidly changing work priorities and ability to work under pressure.
- A helpful and co-operative attitude.
- Work additional hours when required by the Company.
