Key Responsibilities
- Support the Headteacher in driving academic standards, behaviour, and staff performance.
- Contribute to the strategic vision and operational leadership of the school.
- Lead and manage behaviour improvement plans across the school.
- Monitor and evaluate teaching quality and learning outcomes.
- Champion safeguarding and ensure compliance with all statutory guidelines.
- Mentor and support teaching staff, conducting appraisals and identifying CPD opportunities.
- Manage parent/carer engagement and maintain strong community relationships.
- Oversee curriculum planning and intervention strategies for pupils with diverse needs.
- Represent the school at meetings, panels, and external events where appropriate.
Requirements
- QTS and leadership/management experience in a UK school setting.
- Proven experience working with KS4 pupils, particularly within an alternative provision or SEND context.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and pupil wellbeing strategies.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
