A bit about the role... This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated, enthusiastic Finance team in a national organisation with real social purpose. This critical role sits within the Strategic Finance and Business Partnering Team within the Agency’s Finance Directorate, reporting to the Senior Manager - Strategic Finance Delivery. We are dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service, resolving queries efficiently, taking an innovative and creative approach wherever possible. We believe in working in a collaborative and flexible way, and value diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving within our team. This is a rare chance to help shape the future of finance in the organisation, working with key stakeholders, including budget holders, Business Partners, MHCLG, Finance Reporting and Transactional Services teams. You will have the opportunity to support every programme that is delivered by Homes England. With current annual spend of c£4bn, an ambitious multi-year Spending Review on the horizon, there couldn’t be a better time to join the Homes England Strategic Finance and Business Partnering Team.
A bit about you… Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders and budget holders in relation to programme funding, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate. As part of the Finance team sat centrally in the organisation you will enjoy engaging with colleagues effectively, and be able to confidently discuss Financial matters and issues. You'll be comfortable challenging delivery forecasts and the underlying assumptions upon which they are based, drawing parallels across business areas to identify issues and key risks to delivery. Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable communicating and collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation at different levels.
