ABOUT THE ROLE
best is a classic women’s weekly, aimed at women over 40. As part of the newly formed Entertainment portfolio, best is now looking to strengthen the team by hiring a Celebrity and TV Writer. You will be a proactive, confident, self-starter who has a passion for interviewing and writing. This role will report directly to the best celebrity editor but also contribute to Digital Spy and Inside Soap so the ability to adapt your style to different brands, across both print and digital, will be key.
ABOUT YOU
- Ideally you will already have proven experience on a newspaper or magazine as part of a small but busy celebrity team.
- An interest, or experience, in video or pod and vodcast editing or filming would also be an advantage.
- Interested in celebrity culture.
- Experience of conducting interviews with celebrities and pitching original celebrity stories.
- Experience working with social media is desirable.
- A general willingness to help out where needed and a “can do” manner is essential.
- This is not a nine to five office job and you will be expected to attend showbiz events as and when needed, so flexibility to accommodate this will be required.
