We have an exciting opportunity for a Retailer Relationship Manager to join the Wholesale Market Services team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

New environmental legislation, unprecedented levels of investment and changing expectations from customers means that this is an exciting time to discover opportunities within the water industry. The Wholesale Market Services team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
Since April 2017, non-household customers in England have the option to change their water and sewerage retailer in the same way as customers can do for gas and electricity. This is a great opportunity to be involved in Yorkshire Waters Wholesale Market Team, the non-household world and contribute to excellent wholesale performance in the market.
Where you fit in:
As our Retailer Relationship Manager you will –
Establish new and maintain wholesale contracts between Yorkshire Water and retailers for the provision of wholesale services within industry SLAs
Ensure the agreements and relationships are managed in positive, commercial and compliance focused manner to achieve business objectives and targets
Use contract information and MI to identify and mitigate risks and where appropriate escalate to senior stakeholders accordingly
Keep up to date with technical regulations and legislation to ensure contract compliance including CA98 and LPF principles
When there is a breach of agreement, responsible for taking corrective action including working with supporting departments, e.g. finance, legal, compliance
Work with the Senior Relationship Manager and other key stakeholders to formulate R-MeX (non-household retailer measure of experience) improvement plans and to deliver improvement against areas identified
Support with contractual and service related escalations, risks and issue resolution
Ensure the regular sharing of contract performance management information including regular reports on financial performance, wholesaler performance against bilateral & Market Performance Framework measures, consumption to support the Business Demand Reduction performance commitment, volume of connections, data accuracy and other such useful information
Ensure key retailer information is kept up to date and shared with relevant teams across the business as and when required.
Manage the Alternative Eligible Credit and Alternative Payment Terms agreements and annual renewal process
Travel will be required for face to face retailer visits, this may involve overnight stays – driving licence required with no more than 6 points
What skills & qualifications you will need:
Experience of contract management
Excellent influencing, negotiating and communication skills
Able to build effective business to business relationships
Managing stakeholders of all levels (internal and external)
Able to understand complex regulations and communicate them in simple terms
Able to influence others to achieve shared business objectives
You will also benefit from having:
A strong understanding of the non-household retail market and the required processes.
Good understanding of relevant legislation especially Water Act and Market Codes
An understand of core operational business processes.
