Jacobs E&P has an enviable reputation in Transmission & Distribution (T&D), New Energy & Advisory (NE&A) and Generation. The T&D infrastructure consultancy sector includes a portfolio of high-profile projects with clients that include National Grid and Morrisons Energy, national and regional contractors. Our NE&A team provides comprehensive consultancy and engineering services, from business case and project development, preliminary appraisal and feasibility studies through to detailed design, implementation and operational management advice. Our highly respected Generation team are active across the UK & Ireland, which includes Gas, Electric, Hydro clients.
Jacobs are looking for Project Planners who will lead and manage programme schedules in technical consultancy services to major clients in the E&P sector delivering a range of multi-disciplinary projects.

- Developing, implementing and maintaining schedules, communications across all ranges and levels of personnel, demonstrating the ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritising tasks combined with being a team player.
- Fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to supporting others across the team in delivering a high-quality service.
- Showing leadership of a team of diverse individuals, actively encouraging new ways of thinking to provide an agile delivery environment.
- Understanding your clients' requirements and the impacts of the success factors of the project, developing a schedule and delivery plan to ensure success.
- Playing a critical role in the delivery and support of your Project Manager, delivering a safe working culture within project teams.
- Maintaining relationships with your client, your team and the Jacobs organization.
- Communicating progress, potential issues and risks to inform and propose mitigation to your client and internally.
You will have proven planning experience gained across a range of projects. With a sound understanding of project schedule principles and application, you will have the ability to:
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective schedules with the ability to identify potential project schedule delays and mitigations.
- Engage with, influence, and manage communications at an operational level with the project team and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Report the schedule status of projects in accordance with company methods.
- Work as part of a team to ensure project delivery to the cost, time and quality objectives of the Client and the Jacobs organisation.
- Operate within various forms of contract.
- Operate reporting tools and systems to allow for clear reporting.
- Have knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
