We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer (Multi Skilled) to join our Waltham Schools contract based on sites across London.
Location: London - across 7 sites
Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
What will you be responsible for?
- As a Mechanical Engineer (Multi Skilled), you'll be working within the FM team, supporting them in maintenance across the school sites.
- Your day to day will include:
- Performing planned maintenance to assets under SFG20 guidance.
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance on the infrastructure as part of our reactive and follow up programs.
- Prioritising workload and maintenance tasks to ensure KPIs and SLA are met within time.
- Liaising with the Helpdesk administration team and sub-contractors.
- Carrying out surveys and participating in joint site meetings.
- Contributing towards coaching and mentoring programs to support and develop site caretaking teams.
What are we looking for?
- This role of Mechanical Engineer (Multi Skilled) is great for you if:
- Relevant H&S qualifications (SMSTS/IOSH) - desirable
- Technical competence – Time served apprenticeship in an appropriate trade such as mechanical fitter, plumbing and heating to NVQ3 level, and/or C&G equivalent.
- CSCS Gold Card holder
- Building Services experience (preferably demonstrable within a secondary school environment)
- Ability to pass DBS enhanced
