Our client is a faith-based charity. They seek to positively impact the lives of all members of society. They are now looking for an Accounts Assistant to join them on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week.

The Role

As an Accounts Assistant, you will support our client’s financial operations by carrying out a range of key accounting activities. Specifically, you will ensure accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, cashbooks, creditors, and debtors ledgers, while processing invoices, managing payment runs, and overseeing receivables for assigned entities. Beyond this, your duties will also include financial reporting, where you will prepare journals such as accruals and prepayments, ensure ledger accuracy, and assist with audits. Additionally, you will:

  • Support the enhancement of financial systems
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the charity to ensure effective financial management

About You

To be considered as an Accounts Assistant, you will need:

  • Proven experience in financial accounting, supported by an AAT qualification or equivalent practical knowledge
  • Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • The confidence to work both independently and collaboratively
  • A proactive, can-do attitude
