Estate Officer – Coatbridge/Kilsyth Housing Locality

Working with a variety of partners, the Enterprise and Communities service has a key role in guiding this regeneration towards sustainable development. Based within the Coatbridge/Kilsyth Locality, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a proactive approach to work who are committed to providing a front line service to our tenants and enjoy working as part of a team to meet this varied and fulfilling role.

You will be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the estate, which includes security, cleaning communal areas and keeping the area litter free. You will also work as part of a team to respond to community clean-ups and recycling initiatives.

Experience of working in a security, caretaking or cleansing environment and experience of dealing with the public is essential. You should be a team worker with a proactive approach to work and be able to work outdoors all year round with sufficient mobility to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting duties. A relevant housing, health and safety or social work qualification, and knowledge of CCTV systems, cleaning machines and cleaning agents are desirable but full training will be provided. A driving licence is desirable to assist with estate management duties.

The successful candidate will be subject to a criminal conviction check through Disclosure Scotland.

Working Pattern: You will work a 5 day week Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:15 & Friday 08:00 – 14:30
