An opportunity has arisen for an Engineering leader with a background in Technical Engineering and Management to work on a portfolio of future products, working with talented engineers and the latest technologies within a highly innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
- The Portfolio Engineering Manager will lead and manage Engineering Teams while developing and maintaining key partnerships in order to deliver programme objectives.
- Responsibilities will include ensuring that products align to relevant security and safety standards, programmes are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality while also resolving technical and integration issues.
- You will be a key stakeholder manager internally and externally while leading other managers in the team, promoting cross functional collaboration and driving performance.
Requirements:
- The Portfolio Engineering Manager will have a technical background in Engineering but also management experience and an understanding of project management.
- A range of backgrounds will be considered (RF, Radar, Systems, Software and Mechanical).
- You will be adaptable and versatile with excellent communication and planning skills.
- You will have an in depth understanding of engineering lifecycles and principles as well as experience working on complex technical bids.
Location: Isle of Wight 3 days per week. If coming from the mainland, there is a shuttle bus available. If relocating, a relocation package can be made available (details on request).
Security Clearance: Eligibility for SC Clearance is required for this position.
