Are you looking for a change, a new career? Come and join our friendly team. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Revenues and Benefits Contact Centre as a Customer Advisor on a part time (18.5 hours), permanent basis.
The work pattern includes working an alternate weekly shift pattern as follows:
- Week 1: Wednesday pm (4 hours), Thursday 8.30 - 16:30, Friday 8.30 - 16.00
- Week 2: Wednesday pm (4 hours), Thursday 9.30 - 17.30, Friday 9.00 - 16.30
Also, consideration can be made for working a 2 day/3 day, alternate weeks.
The Contact Centre is extremely customer focused, providing support and advice to residents and businesses of the East Riding. The Customer Advisor role ensures that every customer contact counts.
We require someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, along with a good level of interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner. Successful candidates will be working within a team, whilst being able to demonstrate commitment, flexibility and deal with complex legislation and procedures.
Proficient keyboard and telephone skills are essential along with being committed to high standards of customer service. You must be able to communicate effectively and courteously, whilst working as part of an extremely busy team, attaining daily key performance indicators.
Experience in council tax, benefits and council rents are not essential as training will be given, however a demonstration of some knowledge in any of those areas would be greatly beneficial to your application. Working in a busy telephone environment is also an advantage but not essential.
