We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Intellectual Property - EMEA Sales team. In this role you will manage an existing portfolio of customer accounts to achieve the desired new business and retention rates and will be responsible for selling subscription-based products, IP workflow and management software and services, covering the entire trademark life cycle. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales role, with a demonstrated track record in consultative sales.
  • Fluency in both German and English is required (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software relevant to the role.
  • Prior experience with Clarivate products/services and their competitors is a distinct advantage.
  • Business intelligence or SAAS sales experience in the IP industry.
  • Experience using a CRM platform (Salesforce.com, Gainsight, etc.).

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Develop and execute a territory plan, as well as individual strategic account plans, focusing on retention and new business growth strategies.
  • Focus on client relationships to ensure retention of existing revenue, whilst widening the account footprint through new business opportunities.
  • Keep accurate records, manage pipeline and forecast on Salesforce.
  • Maintain a strong matrix of relationships at appropriate levels within the client organization.
  • Present a consistent and professional image of Clarivate to clients, while building high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Achieve new business and renewal revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Continually build IP industry knowledge to keep pace with trends.

About the Team

This role will report to the regional Sales Director for the Central European Sales IP Business. In the IP division, supporting our customers to accelerate innovation is at the core of what we do. With our contextual intelligence, expertise, data and technology we support all kinds of customers in their decision making, R&D solutions and IP protection. The teams you will work with are primarily located in EMEA and you may work with teams internationally in US and APAC.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time permanent position based in UK and will require hybrid working in our London office (2 days per week in office, rest of week remote). This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours. This position will require approximately 25% travel.
