Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you’ll take the lead on driving new business, nurturing existing client relationships, and delivering real growth through strategic thinking and smart partnerships. You’ll be the face of the company when it comes to commercial opportunities, building trust with clients and helping them see the value in what our client delivers—from concept to completion. This is a hybrid role with flexible working, but we are looking for someone Midlands-based, who’s happy to work from the office 1–2 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across exhibitions and live events
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with both new and existing clients
- Deliver tailored solutions based on client needs, working closely with internal teams
- Develop strategic plans to support growth and profitability
- Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of activity and pipeline progress using CRM tools
Key Skills & Experience:
- 3–4 years of proven business development experience within the events, exhibitions or related sectors
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experience creating and delivering commercial strategies
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a hunger for results
- Strong ability to build trust, foster relationships and convert opportunities
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience preferred
