Audit and Accounts Senior – London (EC4Y 8EN)
Salary - competitive salary which includes a London weighting plus discretionary annual bonus
Hours - Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, 9.30am – 5.30pm with flexible, hybrid working
Holiday - 22 days of annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing with service period
About the Audit and Accounts Senior role

We have an exciting role for an Audit and Accounts Senior in our London office. TC Citroen Wells are an 11 Partner, ACA training office taking on 3-5 trainees a year.
The role is split approximately 80/20 between audit and non-audit assignments. Reporting either to a Manager or directly to a Partner, you will either be solely responsible for the audit work including planning and completion, or responsible for leading a team of up to 3 on larger audits, including assisting juniors and reviewing their work. The audit client base is varied and includes FCA regulated clients, property investment companies, retail companies, construction companies, commodities traders, charities, Barristers' chambers, solicitors, and media clients.
Key responsibilities of an Audit and Accounts Senior will include:
- Processing audit journals and the preparation of the statutory accounts, including all notes and disclosures. User knowledge of both FRS102 and FRS an advantage
- Preparation of corporation tax returns including capital allowances computations
- Assist in training junior staff and providing feedback
- Occasional ad hoc assistance in accounting assignments and bespoke assignments such as preparing cashflow forecasts or due diligence reports
- Directly liaising with clients
About you
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- ACA / ACCA Qualified
- Previous audit experience within an accountancy practice
- Up to date with current auditing and accounting issues and conversant with relevant auditing and accounting standards, company law etc.
- Good tax knowledge, in particular corporation tax. An awareness of VAT and payroll taxes advantageous
- Confident with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- You have developed good client liaison skills and work well as part of a team
- Analytical skills and attention to detail and ability to think laterally to be capable of identifying potential problems and providing solutions
- Show initiative, exercise judgement and take ownership of issues from start to finish
- Experience of working on a wide range of clients (some FCA experience would be beneficial)
- Computer literate including good Excel experience. A working knowledge of CCH and Pro-audit would be an advantage. Experience or knowledge of the Mercia audit methodology would also be helpful
- Willing and able to work under pressure and cope flexibly with demanding deadlines
